POSITIVE DISCIPLINE For Early Childhood

if there are children in your life, there will undoubtedly be times when you have questions. Whether you're a parent or a professional, you've probably found yourself wondering:

  • Why do children do that?

  • How do I build a lasting, respectful relationship with my child?

  • How do I go beyond dealing with misbehavior to nurture a competent, capable, happy young adult?

  • How will I know that I'm doing the right thing, for me and for my child?

  • How do I help my child cope with depression, bullying, homework and academics, and other challenges in life?

If these or similar questions concern you, you've come to the right place. Positive Discipline can help!

We provide education, coaching and professional training to help you develop both wisdom and skill. our approach is based on the work of Alfred Adler and the bestselling ‘Positive Discipline’ books, which rest on solid evidence and experience. Through our customised workshops you can learn to parent and work with children with confidence and joy. Imagine, instead of controlling behaviour, you can be teaching; instead of confronting apathy, you will enjoy cooperative, respective, and happy children!

Inside, you'll discover how to:

• Create an environment where children can develop a sense of belonging and significance.
• Understand how young children learn and how to adapt teaching to the needs of this age group.
• Foster essential social and emotional skills to support development and school readiness,
• Understand the motivation behind students' behavior instead of looking for causes.
• And much more!

Who Should attend

This two-day interactive workshop is designed for early childhood educators, teachers, and caregivers who work with children from birth to six years of age. (Parents will also find this workshop helpful; however, the focus is on early childhood education.)

Participants will learn to apply the principles and tools of Positive Discipline, an Adlerian research-based philosophy, to working with groups of young children. They will also gain a deeper understanding of how young children learn, the importance of belonging and social and emotional learning, and how best to teach those skills in a classroom or care setting.

Participants will earn recognition as Certified Positive Discipline Early Childhood Educator.

what our partners are saying

The Positive Discipline in the Classroom workshop delivered a whole weekend of paradigm pushing! A lively set of well-designed, experiential activities challenged participants to think deeply about behavioural issues in the whole-school and classroom. Sessions exploring the nature of encouragement, the goals of misbehaviour and the balance between kindness and firmness should become mandatory training for all who work in education.
— Sean Spurvey, Head of ICT Westminster Under School London.
