is positive discipline for You or your child?
If you are like many of our clients, you are a parent who has a lot on your mind. What you are doing with your life and how you are spending your time really matter to you. People hire a Positive Discipline coach for ongoing work to live with intention and purpose, for support integrating their individual, family, and professional life, as well as support working through challenging situations in their home or at work.
We use a tool from our book (Positive Discipline for Today's Busy (& Overwhelmed) Parent) called the Wheel of Life to focus on different areas of our life that may be out of balance. One month you may work on developing a new habit that supports you in being physically healthy. The next month you might focus on bringing more joy into your relationships. As the client, you are always in the driver's seat. The coach will ask you 'curiosity' questions to draw out what matters most to you and how you can make changes or gain new insight into that area of focus.
The result is a life that is grounded in values, free of monkey-mind distraction, increased satisfaction and a deepening of resilience, inner-strength, and relationships.
Coaching is typically an on-going engagement with a set day and time of the week.

GROUP COACHING SESSIONS
Consider rounding up a group of friends to form a "coaching circle." Coaching circles adapt the principles and methods of individual coaching and apply them to small, intentional groups. Gather your crew —minimum 4 people, maximum 8—then choose a parenting topic to tackle. I'll supply the expert guidance and motivation around applying Positive Discipline in your home and we will also use the process of the Parents Helping Parents Problem Solving Steps, which will include peer coaching as well. The concept is similar to a book club—in fact, you can focus your session around a specific Positive Discipline book (there are over 20 in publication) that everyone reads beforehand! Fun, informative and a wonderful way to socialize and connect.
